Update on Coronavirus

Posted on Monday 16th March, 2020

Dear Patients

The last post on my blog was only written on 2 March, but, in these unusual times, two weeks feels like a very long time ago.

COVID-19 is bringing challenges of one kind or another to all of us and I have been watching the situation very closely.

However, the knowledge that we have about the incubation period for the virus, the speed with which it has spread in other European countries and the many unknowns that there are at the moment, have led me to take the very difficult decision this morning to cancel all of my acupuncture appointments for the next two weeks.

I can continue to prescribe herbal medicine, so those patients who are currently taking herbs can continue their treatment. If there are any acupuncture patients who would like to take Chinese herbal medicine in the meantime, please do contact me.

I realise there is a lot of fear at the moment and I hope that this post will not exacerbate that feeling. If any of you are feeling overwhelmed or anxious, please do pick up the telephone or email me and I will be happy to chat. Additionally if any of you are on your own and need assistance, then please do let me know and I will do anything I can to help.

I intend to stay in contact with you all and will post any updates on my website, which you can access via my Facebook page and here on my website.

I am thinking of all of you and I hope that “normal service” will be resumed very soon.

Olivia
